One snowless January afternoon, I was with my family in a local park.  The grass was still green, and our young toddler ran about under a grove of towering pine trees, skipping over pine cones galore, hopping up onto a stump and raising his arms high as if he were on a mountaintop.  I captured all these poses, and imagined them into a painting of a group of little friends all exploring, having fun, and looking around in wonder under the tall pines.
